Romans 8:39-39 - For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus!" What a verse of encouragement that speaks about the grace, mercy and love of God! Nothing can separate us once we are His!

This time of year, as we are approaching Easter, many find themselves seeking and trying to find peace and comfort that only He can bring through a personal relationship with Him. We pray that all of us will have opportunities to share the gift of salvation and invite people out to church. This is the good (best) news we could ever share and is the only hope for a world that is perishing. I want to encourage you to be praying for friends and family as we gather together at Easter to celebrate the redemption we have in Christ!

"Therefore, there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus, the law of the Spirit, who gives life has set me free from the law of sin and death." Romans 8:1

These words are some of the most magnificent words ever written!  It is God's perfect justification once and for all!  It has forever changed our destiny for those who have put their trust in Christ!   It has given the freedom to live godly lives through the inward working and presence of the Holy Spirit.   We are no longer slaves to sin but are now free to live the abundant Spirit-filled life that Christ has promised!  As we meditate on these truths, we will grow deeper in our love relationship with our Savior, God the Father and God the  Holy Spirit.  We can have the peace that passes all understanding because we know our future is secure, not because of what we have done, but because of what He has done!

This past Sunday we talked about discipleship, which was one of the last things Jesus talks about in Matthew 28. "Go and make disciples of all nations......." This could seem to be overwhelming but it really starts at home with family and those who God places before us. It was wonderful on Sunday to see parents and grandparents committed to helping train up these little ones in the Lord. Let us continue to pray for all the families of our church that raise the next generation! As I stated, one of the ways we do that is by loving God with all our heart, all our mind, and all our soul, as quoted in the Old and New Testament and it can be contagious!

One of the missions of KMCC is to Know Christ and to make Him known. As we walk with Him He will bring opportunities to share of His Grace and Mercy.

We may at times feel inadequate but it is just sharing what we have in our hearts. I love the statement, "He doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies the called." If you want to be used by the Lord, He just wants us to make ourselves available. Hope you all can stay safe and warm!

We want to wish everyone a Happy New Year! It is hard to believe another year has flown by! The verse that says, "Life is but a vapor, it appears for a moment and is gone," is so true! But praise God for the Hope we have!

Romans 15:13 "May the God of HOPE fill you with all JOY and PEACE as you TRUST in Him, so that you may overflow with HOPE by the power of the Holy Spirit."  One of the key words in this verse is Trust. It can be so hard at times, but it is what God wants from us and its fruit is joy, peace, and hope! This is the kind of peace that Philippians talks about, "the Peace that passes understanding." It also produces a Joy that is not dependent on our circumstances but on the Hope of eternity and knowing He is in control, not just of our future but of our every day lives.

As we go forward in this new year I pray this prayer for all of you.

Ephesians 3:14-20. "For this reason, I kneel before the Father from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you being rooted and established in love, may have power together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, TO HIM be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever! Amen"

As we approach Christmas with all the craziness, we pray we can focus on Christ and what he has done for us and what the reason for this season is all about. We have been to many Christmas events and it is sad when Christ or any trace of Him is left out. How did this ever come to be? Satan is doing a good job trying to distract us from anything related to Christianity.

As we went through some of the many prophecies that foretold of Christ's birth and every single one of them came to be, we can trust that future prophecies will as well!
What a comfort that is! Just one is that He will return, rule and reign and make everything right!  "And HE shall reign forever and ever."

We pray you all can enjoy this Christmas season as we celebrate the Incarnation of our Emanuel, God with us!
Matthew 1:21"She shall bring forth a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus because He will save His people from their sins."

What a great message Jay had Sunday on "From the Creation to the Cross." If you didn't get to be there you can get it online. I also highly recommend his DVDs and books. He also has live broadcasts that can be listened to.

In Genesis, it talks about the Messiah coming through the seed of the woman, Genesis 3: 15, and He will be born of a virgin,  Isaiah 7:14. There is a thread that runs all through the Bible that points to Christ. All the sacrifices were a picture of the coming Lamb of God. All scripture points to Him.

As we begin to celebrate the Christmas season may we always remember what was done for us on Calvary, and the free gift given to us that was given at such a cost.
Hebrews 9:12    "He enters once for all into the holy places, not by the means of blood or goats but by the means of His own blood, thus securing an eternal redemption."

This time of year can start to get crazy and busy with so much going on. It is also a good time to slow down and appreciate all God has done and is doing for us. We need to be grateful for the many riches we have in Christ Jesus. The hope and the future we have is something that is hard to grasp and is what sustains us through the trials of life. I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving, we have so much to be thankful for! Psalm 9:1 "I will give thanks to You Lord, with all my heart, I will tell of Your wonderful deeds, I will be glad and rejoice in You, I will sing the praises of your name, O Most High." I Thess. 5:18 "Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is the will for you in Christ Jesus." Praise God from whom all blessings flow, praise Him all creatures here below. Praise Him above ye heavenly host. Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.

Some of you might be asking, "what now?" As I mentioned last Sunday, some of you may be disappointed in the election results, but we need to remember God is still on the throne and in control of all things. I Chron. 29:11 "Yours, Lord, is the greatness and the power and glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is Yours. Your's Lord is the kingdom, You are exalted as head over all." Daniel 2:21 He changes the times and the seasons, He removes kings and raises up kings." Even though it is true it should be a wake-up call for all Christians to daily be praying for all our leaders and whatever God leads you to do in the rapid changes we see. We are truly living in the end times and need to redeem the time. Ephesians 5:16 "Redeeming the time, because the days are evil."’ We need to seek Him in all areas of life and trust Him. Psalm 20:7 "Some trust in horses, some trust in chariots, but we will trust in the name of the Lord our God!!"

Not Even One

One of the points in my message last Sunday from Romans 3:10"There is no one righteous not even one." Apart from Christ, we have nothing to stand before Him with. In Isaiah 64:6 "All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all of our righteous acts are like filthy rags." But........ praise God, through the blood of Christ that cleanses us from all unrighteousness we are made clean and perfect before Him. Forever and always! We also talked about the Word being entrusted to the Jews but also to us! I pray we all treat His Word as a precious jewel. As we have this Sunday as a day to pray and remember the Persecuted Church, let us remember those who have sacrificed their lives for the gospel, and how many don't have the written Word that we have and cherish even a page of scripture. I know you have heard stories of those who had just a scrap of a paper with a verse or two but yet have it written in their hearts. May we cherish Gods word and newer take it for granted. Psalm 119:105 "Your Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path."

Psalm 139:13-15 "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.  I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made."

It is obvious through scripture that life begins from conception.  We know we have three children that we lost through miscarriages that we will see one day in heaven!  What a comfort and hope,!  Today babies are being killed from early conception to the last months.  It is such a tragedy.  Attached is a video and comments about the D and E abortions that are ripping babies limb by limb from the womb.

If you have had an abortion, there is forgiveness in Christ and restoration!  He has forgiven every sin when we accept that His blood paid for all my sin. We have a friend who had several abortions, came to Christ, and by God's grace went on to have 5 children!  She also became an ultrasound technician and even though she is not supposed to say anything to the patients, she did and she has saved many lives!  Love God's grace and mercy !!

This Sunday is the Life Chain on Bluemound road.  A very silent protest against this loss of so many innocent lives.  Lee Nelson has the details.  Be praying that God will place on the Supreme Court someone who can help reverse these horrors and save lives.

Paul begins and ends most of his letters wishing the believers Grace and Peace.  These are two important byproducts of our faith.  You cannot have peace if you do not have grace and you can not have grace unless you have peace and they can only come with a relationship with Jesus.   Grace comes from knowing the grace that was given to us through the cross, something we did not deserve one speck of, not only for salvation but for our daily moment by moment lives!  

Peace comes from knowing that grace that was given to us and knowing we are totally righteous before Him!  Also, our peace comes from trusting Him for every area of our lives that we surrender to Him!  Phil 4:6 "Do not be anxious about anything but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God and the PEACE of God which transcends understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus."  May you know Christ's grace and peace in your lives!

Today, as we reflect on the tragedy of 911, let us remember our brothers and sisters in Christ who are being persecuted for their faith around the world.
Our nephew who is serving in a ministry to pastors in 3rd world countries is now in West Asia. He is in a dangerous situation and would appreciate your prayers. Yesterday he sent us this text. Leaving names and places out to protect.

"We started our second group today. For some people, this is the first Christian community they have ever experienced. One guy who converted from Islam said afterward we had such sweet fellowship. "We were taught to hate you." Another guy said we prayed every day since the last training that we could make it again, he did, but 12 others were turned away at the border.
The group is very lively and enjoyed the training. They are learning how the Bible is God's living Word, a big contrast to the Quran. Thanks for praying!"

We take for granted the opportunities we have to learn God's Word. Please pray for Kevin and his team and that we would take every opportunity to share the gospel as time is so short!

2Cor. 3:4-5 "Such confidence we have through Christ before God. Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God."
 
As we are studying the work and power of the Holy Spirit, we learn that we can do nothing on our own strength. Oh, we can, in the flesh, but we get the glory and not God. When it is done under the power of the Holy Spirit, it will last for eternity and He gets all the glory. He brings up against times in our lives where we are so weak and that is when HE is made strong!
 
2Cor. 12:9-11 "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."
 
Life is always full of challenges and struggles, we can either try and fix them ourselves or turn to the One who has a plan for our lives. He wants to walk alongside us in every situation! One of the many benefits we have in Christ!

Ephesians 1:17 "I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation so that YOU MAY KNOW HIM BETTER!"

I had the privilege of going on multiple missions trips with Jim Eberline. He went home to be with the Lord last year at a young age. When we would walk and talk with each other we got to know each other's hearts, encourage each other and pour our burdens out to each other. In other words, we got to know each other well. That's how it is with our Savior. He wants us to walk moment by moment with Him, talk with Him, listen to Him through the Word, and share our burdens with Him. This is how we get to know Him and He becomes so intimate with us. We can call on Him 24/7. It doesn't get better than that!

As Paul prayed this prayer for us, I pray this for all of you, you will be blessed!! How can we walk without Him!

Micah 6:8 " And what does the Lord require of you?  To act justly and to love mercy and to WALK humbly with your God."

Over the last few weeks, we have been studying the fullness and power of the Holy Spirit in transforming our lives. We have studied Galatians 5:22-26, which referred to the Holy Spirit's fruit in our lives. Also, we studied Mark 13:11, how Jesus told the disciples that the Holy Spirit would give them what to say and empower them in every situation. We need total dependence on Him at all times.

Last but not least we talked about Acts 1:8. The disciples were given the power to be witnesses throughout the world at that time, which also applies to us to be witnesses wherever God has placed us.

May the Lord, through the Holy Spirit, continue to encourage you with these truths!

If you missed Sunday, here are a couple of my key thoughts from my sermon.

The title of my message was "The Spirits Fire" dealing with 1 Thessalonians 4:19 "do not put out the spirits fire".  We talked about grieving or hindering the Holy Spirit.  One of the ways that we can grieve the spirit is to doubt God's Word.  One of the ways that we can hinder Him is to worry.  The thought that I would like to leave with you is a quote that I have recently read:

"Worry is like a warning light on the dashboard of our car informing us that we've taken back our lives from His care.  A very foolish and grievous thing to do."

I would like to encourage you to attend this Sunday as we will be getting the know the Person of the Holy Spirit better.  Summer is a time where we can be easily distracted from our walk with the Lord, and I believe this series will greatly encourage you as it has me already.

Hey guys, here is just a reminder from yesterday's message "A Few Good Men" and a quote from Ezekiel 22:30:  "and I looked for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found no one."

These were my main points from yesterday:

Men who learned to LEAN on the Lord  Prov 3:5-6: "5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding, 6 in all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths"

Men who have learned to LEAD

Their Flesh  Galatians 5:16-17: "16 So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.  17 For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh.  They are in conflict with each other so that you are not to do whatever you want."

Men who have learned to LOVE the Father

1 Corinthians 13:1-3: "1 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.  2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.  3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing."

In summary,

I'm thankful for the men of KMCC who are living out these principles in their lives.  I hope you all had a blessed Father's Day and may the Lord bless you this week.

"Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus Christ, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing His will, and may HE work in us what is pleasing to Him, through Jesus Christ, to Him be glory forever and ever!" Hebrews 13:20-21

 

The key word here is equip, HE is the one that equips us to do anything.

Only in His strength can we accomplish anything.  When we try in our flesh we fail miserably.  It is resurrection power that works in us to do anything that counts for eternity!!  May we always rely on His strength and not our own!

Our verse for Mother's Day was I Peter 5:7 "Cast all your cares on Him because He cares for you." The verse is not just for mothers but for all of us! We live in a world with constant cares and concerns all around us that He did not want us to carry by ourselves. I always remember hearing the illustration of the verse in Matthew 11:30 "For My burden is easy and My yoke is light. " A yoke is a wooden beam normally used between a pair of oxen or other animals to enable them to pull together on a load when working in pairs. I picture Jesus on one side but our feet are dangling on the other side because HE is carrying the full weight!  He wants us to cast it all on Him and He will sustain us and carry us through whatever burdens we are carrying!
