Missionary with New Tribes Mission (NTM) to Indonesia

I'm living and serving in the Sekadau tribe on the island of Borneo in Indonesia. I serve here alongside another gal, Cori Gervasi and three other families. Our team here works with the small local church here, discipling, teaching and doing outreach to unreached areas of Sekadau land.

Cori and I joined this team two years ago with the goal of translating God's Word into the heart language of our Sekadau friends. We just finished our formal Language and Culture Study and have just begun preparation for Bible Translation! Trusting God to grow His church here in Sekadau and looking forward to the day they can have God's Word in their heart language!

Missionaries with Transport For Christ

Doug & Ellen Kraus are involved with Transport For Christ, a mission to truck drivers. We accomplish this  by locating truck stops interested then placing a chapel, a tractor, trailer chapel at the location to minister to the drivers and others.  This is a 7/24 ministry with a lead chaplain & volunteers helping. My responsibility is to look for interested locations, make contact, and begin the process of contacting churches in the area and training volunteers. Also TFC is partnered   with TAT, Truckers Against Trafficking, to make truck stops and others aware of the problem of human trafficking of innocent girls.  We have been full time with TFC for 15 years and 4 years before that as a volunteer.

West African Mercy Ministry (WAMM)

Helping You Really Worship! That is what our ministry here in Ghana is all about. James 1:27 explains that real worship (religion) is "to visit orphans and widows in their affliction." Debbie and I moved with three of our children to Ghana in November, 2007 to establish a ministry to orphans with this express purpose in mind. We long to provide a place for followers of Jesus (both individuals as well as churches) to personally get involved in what God defines as pure, unadulterated worship. That is why we established House of Mercy (HOMe), a Children's Hospice/Home in Accra, Ghana. HOMe gives believers in North America an opportunity to have their own ministries of mercy, a tangible way for them to really worship God.

Missionaries with New Tribes Mission (NTM)

In 1984 we moved from Upper Michigan with our three children to begin training with New Tribes Mission at New Tribes Bible Institute in Waukesha, Wisconsin. In 1990 we arrived in Papua New Guinea where we served as dorm parents for the children of missionaries. In 1995 we arrived back in Waukesha where we have been serving at the Bible Institute. Our ministries consist of various duties, maintenance, grounds upkeep, supply buying, office and receptionist work. Most important to us  is that we have the privilege of helping to train and equip some of the approximately 200 students as we get to know them and spend time with them. Our goal is to do our part to see these students trained and equipped to go out and impact the world with the Gospel.

NTM's purpose statement:

Motivated by the love of Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, NTM exists to assist the ministry of the local church through the mobilizing, equipping, and coordinating of missionaries to evangelize unreached people groups, translate the Scriptures, and see indigenous New Testament churches established that truly glorify God.
